Welcome to Makayla Marie Design & Photography, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where storytelling comes to life through both imagery and intentional design. I picked up a camera at fourteen and began photographing anything and everything, slowly discovering a deep love for unique, expressive portraits. Today, my work spans portraits, seniors, engagements, weddings, and more, always with an emphasis on authenticity and connection. I’m continually evolving my style, guided by the people I photograph and the stories they bring with them.

Alongside photography, I bring a background in media design, having studied everything from branding and logo creation to web and print design. I love supporting clients from start to finish — whether that’s capturing an engagement session and designing custom invitations that lead seamlessly into the wedding day, or photographing a senior session and creating personalized graduation invitations. By combining photography and design, I ensure every stage of your experience feels connected, thoughtful, and intentional.
